DMX512 Constant Current Decoder

DMX512 Constant Current Controller

  • DMX512 / RDM compatible: Supports standard DMX512(1990) and DMX512-A protocols; many models also support RDM (Remote Device Management) for remote addressing, status monitoring, and configuration via console.

  • Converts DMX to constant-current PWM: Receives DMX digital signal and outputs constant-current PWM drive to directly power high-power LED fixtures such as wash lights, floodlights, wall washers, and COB downlights.

  • Constant current output: Fixed output current per channel — common options include 350mA / 500mA / 700mA / 1A / 1.5A / 2A (single channel or total). Output voltage adjusts automatically within a defined range (e.g., DC 12–48V or 2–56V depending on load).

  • Multi-channel & multi-color control: 1CH / 3CH / 4CH / 5CH / 12CH / 24CH versions available; supports single-color, tunable white (CCT), RGB, RGBW, and RGB+CCT high-power LEDs.

  • High dimming resolution: 8-bit (256 steps) or 16-bit (65,536 steps) grey scale; smooth 0–100% dimming with selectable gamma correction curves.

  • Adjustable PWM frequency: Ranges from 500 Hz to 30 kHz / 35 kHz; high-frequency mode eliminates flicker for broadcast, film, and studio environments.

  • Flexible DMX addressing: Start address set via DIP switch, digital LED/OLED display, or remote RDM — no manual access to the device required in large installations.

  • Multiple signal interfaces: XLR 3-pin / 5-pin, RJ45, and screw terminal options; DMX IN / DMX OUT daisy-chain with signal isolation and optional built-in amplifier/repeater.

  • Standalone / auto-run mode: Built-in preset programs (color fade, strobe, chase) with adjustable speed and brightness when no DMX console is connected.

  • Power-loss memory: Automatically restores last DMX address, dimming value, and operating mode after power recovery.

  • Comprehensive protection: Over-temperature, over-current, open-circuit, short-circuit, and reverse-polarity protection; auto-shutoff with auto-recovery when fault clears.

  • Scalable & cascadable: Connects with DMX signal amplifiers, optical isolators, or power repeaters to extend cable distance and increase fixture count in large projects.

  • Compact DIN-rail or IP-rated enclosure: Available in DIN-rail mount for control cabinets or weatherproof housings (IP65/IP67) for outdoor architectural and landscape lighting.

One-line version

A DMX512 constant current controller decodes DMX/RDM console data into constant-current PWM drive signals to precisely dim and control high-power LED fixtures such as floodlights, wall washers, and COB spotlights.
