How to Install 288-Lamp Monochrome 480x240mm Luxury Stone Light Panels: A 5-Step Guide

When it comes to high-end luxury stone (sheqi) lighting, the 288-lamp monochrome 480x240mm LED panel is a popular choice for its uniform illumination. While the previous guide covered DMX512 dual-signal wiring, this tutorial focuses on the group-controlled dual color temperature (CCT) dimming setup commonly used for these 288-lamp boards. Here is your complete 5-step installation and wiring tutorial.

Step 1: Power Supply & Transformer Setup (220V to 24V)

Begin with the foundation: the power source. Connect your 220V AC input (L/N) to the Power Transformer. The transformer converts this to a stable 24V DC output (V+ / V-).

  • Load Capacity: A single 400W transformer can reliably power a maximum of 7 to 8 light panels. Exceeding this limit can cause voltage drop or overheating.

  • Connect the transformer’s V+ and V- to the dimmer’s power input (V+ / V-).

Step 2: Wire the CCT Dimmer Controller

The CCT Dimmer acts as the central hub for both power and color temperature control.

  • Dimmer Power: The dimmer draws power from the transformer (V+ to V+, V- to V-).

  • Panel Wiring: Connect the dimmer outputs to the light panel’s input ports:

    • +24V (V+) → Connect to the panel's positive power port.

    • W (Warm) → Connect to the panel's W port.

    • C (Cold) → Connect to the panel's C port.

  • Note:Calculate the dimmer’s actual load capacity based on the total output wattage of your connected panels.

Step 3: Panel Connection & Power Distribution

Connect the 480x240mm panels to the wired dimmer. These 288-lamp boards feature specific power ports.

  • Ensure the polarity is strict: +24V to V+, W to W, and C to C.

  • Because these panels draw significant current, proper power distribution is key. If running multiple boards, distribute the 24V lines effectively. (Unlike DMX, CCT panels controlled by different dimmers must not be wired in series/daisy-chained together).

Step 4: Precision Cutting & Spacing

These panels can be customized to fit your stone layout, but precision is vital.

  • Cutting: Only cut along the designated black marked lines. Trim smoothly; any burrs or protrusions can easily cause short circuits.

  • Spacing: Maintain a 2-3mm gap between panels for heat dissipation and seamless alignment.

  • Drilling: Avoid drilling near LED screws. If mounting holes are absolutely necessary, use washers and avoid overtightening to prevent cracking the PCB. Clean off dust and burrs before powering on.

Step 5: 24-Hour Testing & Stone Sealing

Before finalizing your luxury stone installation, rigorous testing is required.

  • Test Run: Power on the system and test for 24 continuous hours to ensure no flickering or thermal issues.

  • Sealing: When sealing the stone, handle with extreme care. Ensure the stone does not knock into the LED beads or resistors, which could damage the circuit and cause dead spots. Only seal the stone once the 24-hour test is flawless.

By following these 5 steps, your 288-lamp monochrome 480x240mm luxury stone light panels will deliver brilliant, dimmable dual-color-temperature lighting with professional-grade reliability.
